Company Visit “Growing Together with Orang Tua Group: Developing People & Strategies for Winning Products”

Program Recap

On May 29, 2026, the International Marketing Community of BINUS University, known as IMCB, organized a company visit to Orang Tua Group. The activity brought together sixty participants who wanted to learn directly from industry professionals and observe business practices beyond the classroom. Designed as an educational experience, the visit connected academic concepts with real corporate activities. Participants were encouraged to explore how a large company develops its brands, maintains competitiveness, and creates value for consumers. From the beginning, the program aimed to broaden perspectives, strengthen practical understanding, and inspire future professional growth for every participant involved throughout the day.

The journey began with participants gathering at BINUS Anggrek Campus before traveling together to the company headquarters. During the trip, students shared expectations and discussed topics they hoped to explore. Upon arrival, they received a warm welcome from company representatives. One memorable attraction stood near the entrance, a blue vehicle displaying the OT logo. Participants learned that it had supported business activities during the company’s early years and remains carefully maintained today. Although it now serves mainly as a historical symbol, it can still operate. This preservation reflected appreciation for the company journey and achievements over many years of growth.

After the welcoming session, participants attended a presentation focused on Formula, one of the company brands. Company representatives explained the history and development of Orang Tua Group, highlighting important milestones and business decisions. The speakers described how the organization adapted to changing consumer needs while maintaining strong values. Participants were introduced to several Formula products and learned how innovation supports long term growth. The presentation also demonstrated the connection between branding, consumer understanding, and market success. Through clear explanations and practical examples, students gained insights that complemented concepts previously studied during academic courses at university and through organizational learning activities.

One of the most engaging parts of the visit was the interactive discussion session. Participants actively answered questions, shared opinions, and asked about marketing, business development, and organizational management. The conversation encouraged critical thinking and allowed students to learn directly from experienced professionals. Beyond discussing products and strategies, the speakers emphasized leadership and people management. Participants learned that effective leaders support employee development, encourage collaboration, and create opportunities for growth. These lessons provided practical perspectives that can be applied in future careers, student organizations, and team projects requiring communication, responsibility, and collective achievement across diverse situations and professional environments today.

Following the presentation, participants joined a company tour around the facility. During the tour, they observed amenities designed to support employee wellbeing, including a gym, sauna, soaking area, and recreational spaces. These facilities demonstrated the company commitment to creating a positive workplace environment where employees can remain productive and engaged. Participants gained a better understanding of how workplace culture and employee welfare contribute to organizational performance. Overall, the company visit was educational and inspiring, providing valuable knowledge, practical insights, and meaningful experiences. The activity successfully connected classroom learning with real business practice while encouraging personal growth and future career readiness.
