IMCB Talkshow “Marketing in Travel Industry : An Exclusive Guidance of the Emerging Trends”

Program Recap

On Friday (31/05/2024) the IMCB Talkshow program "Marketing in Travel Industry: An Exclusive Guidance of the Emerging Trends" was held. The talk show which took place at the Binus Kemanggisan Campus was attended by participants who were enthusiastic about exploring the world of marketing. As the first talk show held by the International Marketing Community of BINUS (IMCB), this activity is also the first initiation program carried out by the organization during its ongoing service period.

Collaborating with BliBli as a speaker in this activity, IMCB Talkshow presented Theresia Magdalena as Chief Commercial Officer of PromoWisata and Vice President of Travel Category BliBli.com. The talk show was opened enthusiastically by the MC, Vanezia, thus preparing the participants to receive the material that would be given. The next session, namely the presentation of the material, was also very fun and interactive. Occasionally Ms. Theresia invites participants to take part in light discussions through questions and small quizzes that attract attention. Armed with years of experience working in the world of tourism, Sis Theresia straightforwardly provides knowledge that not many people know about how marketing activities take place in this industry. Apart from that, Sis Theresia also shares tips and tricks so that travelers can choose tickets, accommodation and activities that are interesting to do while traveling but are still pocket friendly. Lastly, Ms. Theresia also gave advice for Binusians who are interested in starting a business in the tourism sector. According to him, the key to business in this industry is the willingness to serve and deal with clients who have various characteristics.

After that, the committee selected two lucky participants to receive a door prize in the form of an e-wallet balance of IDR 50,000 for each participant through random selection. Participants looked very enthusiastic while waiting for the winner to be announced while checking their unique number on the IMCB boarding pass that had been sent as a condition for participating in the lottery. Finally, the series of talk shows ended with a joint documentation session between speakers, participants and the committee. This interesting activity certainly received positive support from various parties involved in it. In the future, IMCB is committed to always presenting various innovative and educational programs regarding the world of marketing for all Binusians.
